Well Easter Break is coming up quickly. We can’t believe it is already the month of April. We will be finishing up units and beginning new ones this month. We are looking forward to the events ahead that will be happening in our classroom.
Our project with the Community gardens and our plants has been very successful. All of our pepper plants germinated, sprouted and are now growing. When the days become warmer they will be taken to the community garden to be planted. We will go on a field trip in June to see the garden. The students are very excited!
After the Easter break we will be working on Division strategies in math. The students have really enjoyed this unit. We will also be beginning our plants unit in Science and ELA. During our writer’s workshop time we have been learning about different style of poems and have had a chance to be creative poets. We will be choosing a couple of our favorites to put into our portfolios for you to read.
We are looking forward to a dry playground and warmer weather. Happy spring everyone!

April 13th- Dress Up day – Hat and moustache
April 14th-23rd- NO SCHOOL
April 24th- Back to school
